Essential Matwork with a Fascial Focus

This workshop provides instructors tools to incorporate new fascial research concepts within the body of the STOTT PILATES Essential Matwork repertoire. Following the Essential Matwork order, participants explore how exercise essences can be enhanced with new fascial research concepts, inspiring a new movement experience. Created by the experts at Merrithew™, discover seamless movement flowing exercise sequences that take the body through multiple planes of movement. This workshop will spark creativity in programming and allow participants to tap into their innate body wisdom to find alternate variations that best suit their movement potential on any given day.
Prenatal Pilates on the Reformer
2PM - 4PM
Learn the benefits of taking mums-to-be from traditional Matwork variations to select exercise modifications on the Reformer in this workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team. Using current exercise guidelines and bearing in mind common anatomical and physiological changes, appropriate STOTT PILATES® exercise adaptations are explored using the Reformer in innovative and beneficial ways. Workout safety and effectiveness remain paramount and the client’s risk factors, pre-pregnancy fitness level, health concerns and fitness goals are to be taken in to account when creating new and ongoing programs.
Group Reformer Classes: Teaching Skills & Programming Choices
4.30PM - 6.30PM
Teaching group classes on the Reformer can be challenging. How do you ensure all your clients get a good workout safely in a group situation? With this workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team, develop the skills to give each client individual attention while keeping the class moving and providing challenge at every level. Discover how offering effective cues and corrections can allow you to safely progress your clients through a series of Reformer classes. Learn how creative programming can allow each member to realize potential and achieve success.
